These canvas pieces are painted in the style of "Realisme Santastique". This is a unique style of painting, that incorporates different styles and materials that when used together allows the artist to pull more feelings and power from the subject that he is painting.

I am currently accepting commissions for new original pieces, if you would prefer something other than what is available below.

I have been commissioned to create a painting that is a reproduction from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo during 1508 - 1512.

For this painting I used two separate sections from the ceiling and combined them into one large painting.

This painting is 7 feet high and 4 feet wide.

Below are close up pictures showing the detail of the painting, click on an image to enlarge.

Title: "Maria"

Description: This painting was commissioned of the lady of the household. It was painted on on 24 ct gold leave glued on canvas. It was painted in oil.

It shows Maria in an atmosphere surrounded by the things that mean the most to her.

Such as the flowers and the birds.

Her house is reflected in the bubbles.

Title: “Sailing”

Description: The painting is made with a real sunset viewed from Durney Key in Florida. The painting is a mixture of realisme, surrealism and abstract. I was inspired by the actual sunset as I viewed it from the beach of this tiny island and my inspiration gave thoughts to sailing across vast oceans. The girl in the picture reminded me of a lost love long ago and the beautiful sunset brings on feelings of a lost love that could have been, but never was.

Medium: oil on canvas

Style: Realisme, Surrealism, abstract -  Realisme Santastique

Title: “Fantasy Behind the Mask”

Description: This painting is based on many different emotions which evolve from the fantasies behind the masks. In the upper portion of the painting, the woman wears the mask of celebration while on the lower part of the painting the girl is observing the masks with trepidation and sensing the mystery that may relate to the motionless mask on the floor. The dove that is lifting the veil of the mask is playful and united with the celebration. Surrounding the woman of celebration are clouds which include a mask in the form of a castle painted in Cubist style. While experiencing the painting you see that the chasms of the castle are one with the mysteries of the masks. On the lower left side of the painting the stacking of masks represent a lack of human sincerity.

Title: “The Dream”

Description: The canvas is a sphere of movement created from the soft colors added to the three dimensional canvas.  The balance of this abstract painting is enhanced with gold and silver colors. The woman is transcending from within. Beneath her you see the two silhouettes that are jumping and celebrating the freedom of her release. There is a special sphere with a bit of cubism and the reason is the movement. The pipes add an experience of a different dimension that enables you to see her dream. The constriction of the pipes blends into the water. The spider is symbolic of a woman. But the face of a male shows the face of her loves. Another symbol of love is the roses. She visualizes herself with her lover in the tranquil waters. The crystals symbolize the power light of eternal love.

Description: An atmosphere of love in a romantic environment mixed with different styles from figurative realism to romanticism in a surrealistic composition. The background is romantic with an architectural perspective and many other contrasting elements which appear throughout the painting. The two flying doves and the fountain are symbols of love. The floor is more in the abstract working with the pallet knife and combining the romantic with the figurative. Always in Marc's works you will see the red lines which symbolize love.
