This painting is currently on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

 

"Sphere in Waiting Room"

This is painted on a wall in oil.

The bubbles symbolize the beautiful people that you meet while waiting that you will ever see again.

When the bubbles touch the water, the ripples represent how quickly this meeting will dissipate.
